Thirty-six (36) holes of individual stroke play on Monday, June 2nd. Players and caddies must walk.
The number of qualifying spots is determined by the USGA and will be known the morning of June 2nd.
The USGA's Pace of Play Policy is in effect. Basically, if a group is over the maximum allotted time and out of position with the group ahead, the Committe may put the group "on the clock" and begin individual timing of players. A player's first bad time is no penalty, a second bad time results in a one stroke penalty, and so on. Click here to view the complete policy.
Practice round tee times are available on a space available basis beginning on Wednesday, May 28th. Call 561-687-1700 to arrange your practice round. All competitors are allowed one complimentary practice round on Sunday, June 1st. Additional practice rounds prior to Sunday are $100 plus tax (includes Halfway House items), plus an additional $150 for a club forecaddie (required), at the competitor’s expense on a space available basis. Players may call the Golf Shop up to three days in advance to schedule any practice rounds prior to June 1st. The player's personal caddie may accompany the player, but may not play. All competitors playing a practice round must reserve a tee time. Only major credit cards are accepted in the Golf Shop for payment.
Practice facilities are open to players on Sunday, June 1st and closes at 6:00 PM. Prior to Sunday, June 1st, the practice facilities are only open to players prior to any scheduled practice rounds and members.
Practice round privileges are not extended to alternates, caddies or guests.
On Sunday, June 1st, the practice areas will close at 6:00 PM. On Monday, June 2nd, the practice areas will open at 6:00 AM.
Prior to Sunday, June 2nd the practice facilities are only open to players playing a practice round.
Players must make arrangements for their own caddies. Emerald Dunes Club has limited club caddies during the summer months. Contact the Golf Shop to inquire about hiring a club caddie. Caddies are expected to be neat in appearance and wear proper golf attire. No jeans, t-shirts or collarless shirts are allowed and shirts must be tucked in.
Caddies must walk; carts are not available. Push carts are permitted on the day of the qualifier ONLY.
Push/pull carts are permitted on Monday, June 2nd ONLY. Players and caddies must walk during the qualifier. Carts are permitted during the practice rounds on a space available basis.
All players and caddies MUST WALK during the qualifying rounds.
The Golf Shop and Clubhouse accepts ONLY Visa/MasterCard for method of payment.
The Halfway House accepts ONLY Visa/MasterCard of method of payment.
Food and beverage service will be available on practice days and the day of qualifying at the Halfway House. On the day of qualifying, lunch will be available for purchase at the clubhouse ($30). Players and caddies will have 15-45 minutes between their first and second round.
Bottled water will be provided for players and caddies throughout the course.
USGA policy prohibits the use of spectator carts. Spectators are welcome to watch the golf and walk the grounds free of charge. Spectators must have some sort of relationship to a player (family member, friend, etc.). A Google Form will be emailed to each player requesting the names of each spectator for gate access. Carpooling is strongly encouraged due to limited parking.
All spectators must must be dressed in golf attire.
Emerald Dunes Club allows the use of traditional metal spikes on the day of the qualifier.
Remember that you are a guest at Emerald Dunes Club and gentlemanly behavior and proper dress is expected at all times. The wearing of shorts is permissible in Final Qualifying, but will not be permitted at the Championship proper. All shirts must be tucked in at all times.
